Our Probate experts will ensure you are fully aware of your responsibilities.

There may come a time when you may be unable to manage your own financial and welfare decisions without help.
Life is uncertain and nobody wants to think about becoming ill or incapacitated, but unfortunately these things happen. If you have a Lasting Power of Attorney, (LPA), in place it will certainly help your family, giving them one less thing to worry about at this difficult time.
If you lose the ability to make financial and welfare decisions for yourself, your partner or your family do not necessarily have the automatic right to make them for you, unless you have a LPA in place.
You must make an LPA whilst you still have the mental capacity to do so. If you make an LPA whilst you are able, you appoint a person or persons of your choice who are called Attorneys to make decisions on your behalf. You have control of who you appoint.
Trust Peter Robinson Co., specialist team to prepare your LPA, whilst you still have the choice who to appoint as your Attorneys.
Making a Will is very important. It is not as straightforward as just deciding who gets what. There are many important issues, such as:
With no Will the law decides under the Intestacy Rules who will benefit from your Estate – this may not be what you wanted.
We can help you write your Will and guide you through making the wider decisions to help protect your Estate and Beneficiaries.
Call us for advice on all aspects related to making a Will. If it’s straightforward or more complicated entrust Peter Robinson & Co. to help you.
When a loved one dies we understand that it is a difficult time. The legal requirements are probably the last thing on your mind. Our friendly sympathetic Probate team are here to help you.
Probate is a term used for the procedure of Proving the Will. When the Will is proved the Executor can then deal with the assets of the Estate. At a difficult time this can be a stressful and complicated process. We can advise the Executors on obtaining the Probate and the distribution of the Assets.
If a relative dies without having made a Will, they have died Intestate. The process is similar to Probate but is called Letters of Administration. In these cases there are strict rules to follow and it is vital to get this right.
If you are an Executor of a Will or trying to Administer an Estate of a relative who has died without a Will, let our Probate team ease the stress and worry for you. We carry out the procedure in a respectful and sympathetic manner ensuring everything is handled quickly and efficiently as possible at such a difficult time.
